Programma Vino

In the splendid setting of the Helvetia Bristol in Florence, during Programma Vino, five aperitivi on the theme of Chianti Rufina will be staged, on 11 and 18 December and on 5, 12 and 18 February. These events will be the perfect occasion to taste the wines made by the consortium’s members and to discover and explore the distinctive qualities of Chianti Rufina.

On 18 December, Marchesi Gondi will take part in this splendid initiative, pouring the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Pian dei Sorbi 2016 and the Rosso dei Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT Ser Amerigo 2011.

Pian dei Sorbi 2016 is a full ruby red with light violet highlights. The nose has great personality, holding a fruitiness with fragrances of ripe fruit, strawberry and cherry, which then opens into a sweet vanilla spiciness before closing on nuances recalling leather and sweet light tobacco. The entry on the palate is soft and elegant, with just the right tannic grip and a supporting freshness; the finish is markedly savoury, keeping a delicious note of red fruit, cherry in particular, and a clear aromatic accord with sweet light tobacco.
