Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi wins further awards: a few days ago we received a preview from Decanter.

This year the estate took part in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2025 with the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG, Terraelectae “Poggio Diamante 2020”, which won a Silver medal with 94/100, and with the same medal for the Rosso dei Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT “Mazzaferrata 2019”.

The Poggio Diamante 2020 is a deep, brilliant ruby red with slight purple reflections. A powerful nose of fruit and flowers, rose among them, macerated woodland fruit such as cherry and redcurrant, with notes of orange too. Notes of sweet spice follow, vanilla among them, closing on leather, chocolate and tobacco. On the palate the notes found on the nose return, and in particular there is a fresh drive recalling citrus such as blood orange, and redcurrant, closing on light liquorice notes. An elegant wine of real personality, with a well-integrated, silky tannin!

Notes of sweet spices such as vanilla appear, it closes with notes of leather, chocolate and tobacco. In the mouth the notes perceived by the nose are repeated, in particular there is a fresh push that recalls citrus notes such as tarocco, red currant closes with light notes of liquorice. an elegant wine with personality with a well-integrated and silky tannin!
