Chianti Lovers 2017

On 12 February the Fortezza da Basso in Florence will host Chianti Lovers, the 2017 preview, from 4 pm to 9 pm.

We of Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi will take part, offering a preview tasting of the Chianti Rufina DOCG San Giuliano 2015.

During the event it will also be possible to taste the wines currently on sale, such as the Vinsanto del Chianti Rufina Riserva DOC Cardinal de Retz 2005. Its appearance: amber with intense tawny shades; nose: great aromatic intensity, with remarkable complexity and breadth. Soft notes of apricot, dried fig, almond, caramel, candied fruit, date and chestnut honey close on sweet spice and a lightly ethereal finish; and finally on the palate: sweet, soft and round, with both elegance and power. The gustatory balance is compelling: on a structure carried entirely by an elegant alcoholic note, it finds a supporting freshness. The finish is extremely long, echoing all the notes found on the nose, dried apricot in particular.
