FIAMMÆ
A single wine, a singular label
One wine, two souls
Fiammæ · I
Fiammæ
The most recent wine made by the Gondi brothers has the powerful, clearly drawn countenance of a traditional wine and, at the same time, the bearing, character and freshness of a wine of singular aromas.
Thus a new vision of Sangiovese takes shape.

Terroir
From the first Etruscan vines to the recognition granted to Chianti Rufina by Cosimo III de’ Medici, the journey has been a long and richly rewarding one. The terroir of galestro, clay and calcareous sediment gives this wine great structure and longevity.
Fiammæ · III
One vineyard, two barriques
After the harvest, half the grapes are pressed at once and half left to dry for a month. Fermentation then takes place in two barriques.
Fiammæ · IV
Fermentation and ageing
The grapes rest for eighteen months in two different French oak barriques: the wine from the fresh grapes in a medium-toast barrique, that from the dried grapes in one of more austere and powerful character. From the one comes a fruity, rounded wine; from the other, a full-bodied one. The blend of the two barriques defines the complex soul of Fiammæ.
Fiammæ · V
Power and persistence, balance and freshness
These are the dominant traits of Fiammæ, a wine of brilliant ruby red with faint purple reflections. The nose is intense and complex, with notes of cooked red fruit to the fore: cherry and strawberry harmonise with spiced notes of vanilla, clove and almond, closing with delicate hints of coffee and chocolate.

A symbol carved in stone
From the flames carved by Giuliano da Sangallo, which burn on the label, a singular wine was created, born of a project of heart and soul, bearing the colour of passion.

Fiammæ · VII
Two brothers, two souls
Fiammae is the highest expression of this meeting.
