Harvest and climate

San Giuliano 2020 is an intense ruby red. The nose shows good intensity, with rose and violet, and fruity notes recalling fairly crisp cherry and raspberry, over a vanilla-scented base and hints of black pepper. On the palate it is soft and full at first, then reveals good freshness and light tannins. A dynamic palate that brings back on the finish the same fruit found on the nose, cherry in particular, and the black pepper spice.

Fermentation and vinification

Fermentation takes place in vats at a temperature of 20° C, controlled by a refrigeration unit. Malolactic fermentation follows in oak casks.

Ageing

It rests for over a year in 29 hl Slavonian oak casks, then ages in bottle for about 3 months.
