World's Best Olive Oils for 2021 & Laudemio Volmiano

Today we received another wonderful piece of news. The Laudemio of Fattoria Volmiano has been awarded the gold medal at the prestigious World's Best Olive Oils for 2021 competition.

The Laudemio of Volmiano is above all our interpretation of the unique character of the estate’s land. The property extends over steeply sloping ground, the domain of heroic olive growing, from rocky plateaux down to cool clay valleys. We want its fresh, elegant aromas of rocket and almond to speak of the opening of those valleys, of the spring breezes that carry the scent of wild herbs. The bitter artichoke notes aptly convey the vigour and strength of nature and of the olive trees, which we pursue through respectful agronomic practices. The spice that closes the tasting and refreshes the palate is the product of the high concentration of vitamins in our oil. Because at Volmiano we have chosen to sacrifice the quantity our 22,000 trees would allow us to produce in favour of a singular quality that makes our oil unique and inimitable.
