It rated our Riserve Chianti Rufina DOCG Villa Bossi 2015 and Pian dei Sorbi 2015, the Chianti Rufina DOCG San Giuliano 2016 and the Rosso dei Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2012 at 88/100.

You will recognise Pian dei Sorbi 2015 in particular by its colour: full ruby red with light violet glints; on the nose: great personality, retaining a fruitiness with fragrances of ripe fruit, raspberry and blackcurrant, which then opens into sweet spice of vanilla, cinnamon and clove, closing with nuances recalling leather and tobacco; and finally on the palate: the entry is soft and elegant with well-judged tannins and supporting freshness; the finish is markedly savoury, retaining a delicious red-fruit note and a clear aromatic harmony with sweet blond tobacco.
