Two further excellent scores for Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi come from Wine Enthusiast, which rated the Riserva Chianti Rufina DOCG Villa Bossi 2012 at 90/100 and the Riserva Chianti Rufina DOCG Pian dei Sorbi 2013 at 89/100.

You will recognise Pian dei Sorbi 2013 in particular by its colour: full ruby red with light violet glints; on the nose: great personality, retaining a fruitiness with fragrances of ripe fruit, raspberry and blackcurrant, which then opens into sweet spice of vanilla, cinnamon and clove, closing with nuances recalling leather and tobacco; and finally on the palate: the entry is soft and elegant with well-judged tannins and supporting freshness; the finish is markedly savoury, retaining a delicious red-fruit note and a clear aromatic harmony with sweet blond tobacco.
