VITAE 2024 AND MARCHESI GONDI – Tenuta Bossi

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi wins further accolades: the news comes from the Vitae 2023 guide, published by the Associazione Italiana Sommelier.

Among the excellent scores awarded to the Marchesi Gondi wines, the Rosso dei Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2018 stands out, earning four vine shoots, equal to a score above 90/100.

Mazzaferrata 2016 is an impenetrable ruby red of striking visual impact, with almost violet glints. On the nose it is highly intense and greatly complex, with sensations that open on black fruit such as blueberry juice and plum before turning to spicy and toasted notes. The spice is commanding, with hints of cardamom and cumin, closing with nuances of dark chocolate and sweet tobacco. On the palate it is powerful and rich, with tight, silky tannins. The mouth echoes the fruity blueberry notes alongside the toasted and spicy ones. A wine of great personality!
