Vitae 2017

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi wins further accolades; the news comes from the Vitae 2017 guide, published by the Associazione Italiana Sommelier.

Among the excellent scores awarded to the Marchesi Gondi wines, the Chianti Rufina DOCG Villa Bossi 2011 stands out with three and a half vine shoots, equal to a score of 90/100.

You will recognise this wine by its appearance: deep ruby red, with good colour density and light purple reflections; nose: ripe, macerated blackberry, followed by sweet, well-integrated spice of liquorice and vanilla with balsamic and toasted shadings. The finish shows notes of cocoa; and finally palate: great structure and character. The wine’s fullness is borne out in the roundness and personality of the tannins; the finish is long, with fruity and mineral notes closing on a pleasing hint of liquorice.
