Vinum – Top of Toskana 2022 and Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi

Two more splendid accolades for Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi: the news comes from Vinum and its Top of Toskana 2022 dossier, which awarded 17.5/20 to both the Chianti Rufina DOCG Riserva Pian dei Sorbi 2018 and Villa Bossi 2016, ranking it among the top 10 – Best of Chianti DOCG.

Villa Bossi 2016 is a deep ruby red, with good colour density and light purple reflections. Great impact on the nose, with ripe, macerated cherry and blackberry fruit, followed by sweet, well-integrated vanilla spice with balsamic and toasted shadings. The finish shows notes of chocolate and coffee. On the palate, great structure and character. The wine’s fullness is borne out in the roundness and personality of the tannins. The finish is long, with fruity and mineral notes closing on a pleasing hint of chocolate.
