Vinum 2019 and Tenuta Bossi

Another splendid accolade for Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi: Vinum 2019 , in its dossier on Chianti DOCG Riserva, awarded 16.5/20 to the Chianti Rufina DOCG Riserva Pian dei Sorbi 2015 and 17/20 to the Chianti Rufina DOCG Riserva Villa Bossi 2013.

You will recognise Pian dei Sorbi 2015 by its appearance: full ruby red with light violet glints; on the nose: great personality, retaining a fruitiness with fragrances of ripe fruit, raspberry and cassis, which then opens into sweet spice of vanilla, cinnamon and clove, closing with nuances recalling leather, tobacco and black pepper; and finally on the palate: the entry is soft and elegant with well-judged tannins and supporting freshness; the finish is markedly savoury, retaining a delicious red-fruit note and a clear aromatic harmony with sweet blond tobacco.
