Vini D’Italia 2023 - Gambero Rosso and Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi

Another splendid distinction comes to Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi: the news arrives from the Vini d’Italia 2022 guide published by Gambero Rosso, which has awarded 2 red glasses to the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Pian dei Sorbi 2019, and to the Chianti Rufina Riserva Terraelectae Poggio Diamante 2018.

Poggio Diamante 2018 is a deep, brilliant ruby red with light garnet reflections. A striking aromatic impact of fruity and floral notes, among them rose, macerated woodland fruit such as wild strawberry and redcurrant, and notes of cherry as well. Then come notes of sweet spice such as vanilla, closing with notes of leather, chocolate and tobacco. On the palate, alongside the notes already found on the nose, there is a fresh drive recalling citrus notes such as blood orange and redcurrant, closing with light notes of liquorice. An elegant wine of real personality, with well-integrated, silky tannins!
