Vini d’Italia 2020 - Gambero Rosso

Further splendid distinctions come to Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi. The Vini d’Italia 2020 guide published by Gambero Rosso has awarded 2 glasses to the Chianti Rufina DOCG San Giuliano 2017, the Chianti Rufina DOCG Riserva Pian dei Sorbi 2016 and also to the Rosso dei Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT wines Ser Amerigo 2013, Mazzaferrata 2013 and Fiammae 2016.
The Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Villa Bossi 2015 was moreover selected for the finals.
Villa Bossi 2015 is a deep ruby red, with fine colouring texture and light purple reflections. A striking aromatic impact of ripe, macerated cherry and blackberry, followed by sweet, integrated vanilla spice with balsamic and toasted nuances. The finish reveals notes of chocolate and coffee. On the palate, great structure and character. The wine's fullness shows in the roundness and personality of the tannins; the finish is long, with fruity and mineral notes closing on a pleasing hint of chocolate.
