Another splendid distinction comes to Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi: the Vini d’Italia 2019 guide published by Gambero Rosso has awarded 2 glasses to the Chianti Rufina DOCG San Giuliano 2016, the Chianti Rufina DOCG Riserva Pian dei Sorbi 2015 and the Vinsanto del Chianti Rufina DOC Riserva Cardinal de Retz 2006.

You will know Pian dei Sorbi 2015 by its appearance: full ruby red with light violet glints; on the nose: great personality, holding a fruitiness of ripe fruit, raspberry and cassis that then opens into sweet spice of vanilla, cinnamon and clove, closing with nuances recalling leather, tobacco and black pepper; and finally on the palate: the entry is soft and elegant, with well-judged tannins and supporting freshness, while the finish stands out for its savouriness, keeping a delicious note of red fruit and a clear aromatic accord with sweet blond tobacco.
