Holy Mass in the Cappella Gondi for Saint Luke 2019

As he does every year, the Marchese Bernardo Gondi, together with the President of the Opera per Santa Maria Novella, Father Aldo Tarquini, arranged a Mass in the Cappella Gondi, marking the laying of the foundation stone of the Basilica on the feast of Saint Luke, to whom both the Chapel and the Basilica are dedicated, which took place in 1279.

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by the Most Reverend Monsignor Carlo Corti, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Florence. The Mass was attended by the representative of the City Council with the Gonfalon and the Historical Procession.

The Holy Mass was followed by drinks at Palazzo Gondi.
