Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2024 awards ceremony

On 7 October in Rome, in the splendid setting of Palazzo Valentini, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles awards ceremony was held. Marchesi Gondi took part with their gold-medal wines: Chianti Rufina Riserva Villa Bossi 2019 and Terraelectae Poggio Diamante 2020.

Poggio Diamante is a deep, brilliant ruby red with faint violet highlights. The nose makes a great impression with fruity and floral notes, among them rose, macerated woodland fruit such as cherry and redcurrant, and notes of orange as well. Sweet spices such as vanilla follow, closing on notes of leather, chocolate and tobacco. The palate echoes the aromas found on the nose; in particular there is a fresh drive recalling citrus notes such as blood orange, with redcurrant closing on light notes of liquorice. An elegant wine of real personality, with well-integrated, silky tannins!
