Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2020 awards ceremony

Marchesi Gondi is delighted to take part in the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles awards ceremony, to be held in Rome on 1 October at the prestigious Terrazza Civita – Palazzo Generali, where from 11.30 am the award-winning wines will be open for free tasting.

Marchesi Gondi is taking part in this event by pouring the Rosso dei Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2015, which will be awarded the gold medal. This wine is an impenetrable ruby red of striking visual impact, with almost violet highlights. The nose is intense and highly complex, opening with black fruit such as blueberry juice and plum before unfolding into spiced and toasted notes. The spice is sweet, with hints of cardamom and cumin, closing on nuances of dark chocolate and sweet tobacco. On the palate it is powerful and rich, the tannins tight and silky. The mouth echoes the fruity notes of blueberry together with the toasted and spiced ones. A wine of great personality!
