Paolo Bertoncini Sabatini - Gondi, a Florentine Dynasty and Its Palace

A lecturer in the History of Architecture at the University of Pisa, he has published numerous monographs and essays, chiefly on the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
He produced the architectural elaboration of “Michelangelo’s Design” for the façade of San Lorenzo, intended for three-dimensional projection onto the front of the church. He curated several sections of the exhibition “Nella splendore mediceo. Papa Leone X e Firenze”.
For the publication “Gondi, a Florentine Dynasty and Its Palace” he studied the monumental seventeenth-century fountain that graces and enlivens the whole palace from the centre of the courtyard.
