Migliori Vini Italiani

Just days before the opening of Luca Maroni’s two-day event at the Mercato Centrale in Florence, we at Marchesi Gondi - Tenuta Bossi received the wonderful news that our wines had won such favour with the guide "Annuario dei Migliori Vini Italiani 2016" as to be rated 87/100 and above.
In particular the Supertuscan, Rosso dei Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2009, achieved a superb score of 90/100. You will recognise this wine by its appearance: a dense, compact ruby red; on the nose: broad, with beautiful hints of wild berry preserve, sweet oriental spices, balsamic minty notes and opening nuances of leather, coffee and chocolate; and finally on the palate: despite its great power, the tannins are perfectly integrated in a wine that comes across as balanced. This richness returns on the finish with long aromatic persistence, faithfully echoing the scents found on the nose.
