Merum 2019

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi has earned another special accolade. The news comes from the magazine Merum: the Chianti Rufina DOCG San Giuliano 2016 has been awarded a heart.

This wine is a deep ruby red in colour. The nose shows fine intensity, recalling red rose and violet, with fruity notes of crisp cherry and raspberry over a faintly vanilla-scented base and hints of black pepper. On the palate it is initially soft and full, before revealing good freshness and a light tannic grip. A dynamic taste that brings back on the finish the same fruitiness found on the nose, in particular cherry and the spiciness of black pepper.
