MAZZAFERRATA 2015 AND VILLA BOSSI 2016 AWARDED AT DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARDS 2020

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi has won further accolades: a few days ago we received advance news from Decanter.

This year the estate entered Decanter World Wine Awards 2020 with the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale IGT "Mazzaferrata 2015", and this wine was awarded the silver medal, while the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG “Villa Bossi 2016” received the bronze medal.

Mazzaferrata is an impenetrable ruby red of striking visual impact. The nose is intense and highly complex, opening with black fruit such as blueberry and plum before unfolding into spiced and toasted notes. The spice is sweet, with hints of cardamom and cumin, closing on nuances of dark chocolate and sweet tobacco. On the palate it is powerful and rich, the tannins tight and silky. The mouth echoes the fruity notes of plum together with the toasted and spiced ones. A wine of great personality.
