Lida Pellecchia - Gondi, a Florentine dynasty and its palace

In the book “Gondi, una dinastia fiorentina ed il suo palazzo”, Lida Pellecchia recounts the birth of the Palace, born of the will of the Florentine banker Giuliano Gondi and of the genius of Giuliano Giamberti, known as da Sangallo.

She teaches art history at the University of Delaware, College of Arts and Sciences in Philadelphia; she has taken part in seminars and written essays for the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz and for the Renaissance Quarterly, and was a fellow at Harvard University’s “Villa i Tatti”, the Center for Italian Renaissance Studies in Florence.
