At Villa Olmi, on 21 November at 7.45 pm, Le delizie di Leonardo will take the stage: in this splendid setting guests will be able to deepen their knowledge of Chianti Rufina and of the nobility and longevity of the wines produced here.

The well-known journalist Leonardo Romanelli will lead a vertical tasting of Chianti Rufina Riserva spanning the last 20 years. Afterwards, 10 Chianti Rufina estates will present their wines for tasting alongside the buffet.

Marchesi Gondi will also take part in this splendid initiative, both in the vertical tasting and subsequently by presenting its own Chianti Rufina wines. Among the wines poured is Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Villa Bossi 2009, of intense ruby red colour, with a good colour weave and light purple reflections. Great impact on the nose, with ripe, macerated cherry and blueberry fruit, followed by sweet, well-integrated vanilla spice with balsamic and toasted nuances. The finish shows notes of chocolate and coffee. On the palate, structure and character. The wine’s fullness reveals itself in the roundness and personality of the tannins; the finish is long, with fruity and mineral notes closing on a pleasant hint of coffee.
