JAMES SUCKLING AND MARCHESI GONDI - TENUTA BOSSI 2021

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi gathers further accolades from the celebrated critic James Suckling.

Among the magnificent scores given to the Marchesi Gondi wines, the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Pian dei Sorbi 2018 stands out with 91, the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2016, with 91, the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Ser Amerigo 2016 with90, and the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Fiammae 2017 with 98.

Fiammae 2017 is a brilliant ruby red. The nose is very intense and highly complex, with sensations opening on red fruit both fresh and dried — cherry, strawberry, raspberry — before turning to spiced and toasted notes. The spice is sweet, closing on nuances of dark chocolate and sweet tobacco. The palate is powerful and rich, with tight, silky tannins. The mouth returns the strawberry and cherry fruit alongside the toasted and spiced notes.

A wine of great personality
