A Meeting of Excellence: Chianti - Champagne

At Villa di Montepaldi, on Saturday 30 April, A Meeting of Excellence: Chianti - Champagne will be held; from 5.30 p.m. it will be possible to taste the Chianti wines and Champagnes of the Rotary members.
Marchesi Gondi - Tenuta Bossi will take part in this splendid initiative, pouring the Chianti Rufina DOCG Riserva Villa Bossi 2010, which has always been the emblem of the selection of the finest blends. It might be called a Gran Riserva, a Grand Cru, or a wine for contemplation. Always the estate’s flagship wine, a structured and very long-lived Riserva, it has been produced from these grape varieties only since 1988.
Appearance: deep ruby red, with fine colouring texture and slight purple reflections. Nose: a powerful impact with the fruit of cassis and ripe, macerated blackberry, followed by sweet, integrated spice of liquorice and vanilla with balsamic and toasted shades. The finish shows notes of cocoa. Palate: great structure and character. The fullness of the wine shows in the roundness and personality of the tannins; the finish in the mouth is long, with fruit and mineral notes closing on a pleasing hint of liquorice.
