I vini di Veronelli 2019
Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi gathers a further series of special accolades: the news comes from the guide I vini di Veronelli 2019.
The Riserve Chianti Rufina DOCG Pian dei Sorbi 2015, Villa Bossi 2013 were awarded 3 stars with scores of 90 and 91 points respectively, and the Rossi Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2012, Ser Amerigo 2012 were awarded 3 stars with scores of 92 and 91 points respectively. Finally the Vin Santo del Chianti Rufina Riserva Cardinal de Retz 2006 was awarded 3 stars with a score of 90.
You will recognise the Ser Amerigo by its appearance: lively ruby red with purple highlights; on the nose: a complex, intense and immediately appealing impact. Varied notes of small red fruit preserve such as wild strawberry emerge, with spicy hints of liquorice and cinnamon, opening in the glass into nuances of leather and sweet tobacco; and finally on the palate: full, with a refined tannic weave and vivid savouriness, softened by a generous embrace of fruit that lends the whole elegance and balance. The finish reveals balsamic and liquorice aromas.
