Among the magnificent scores given to the Marchesi Gondi wines, the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2016 excels, reaching a rating of 96/100 and ranking as the third best red wine.

The Mazzaferrata 2016 is an impenetrable ruby red, of great visual impact. The nose is very intense and highly complex, with sensations opening on black fruit such as blueberry and plum before turning to spiced and toasted notes. The spice is sweet, with hints of cardamom and cumin, closing on nuances of dark chocolate and sweet tobacco. The palate is powerful and rich, the tannins tight and silky. The mouth returns the plum fruit alongside the toasted and spiced notes.
