Guida Bere Bene 2019

Another wonderful accolade for Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi: the news comes from the Guida Bere Bene 2019, published by Gambero Rosso, which has awarded the Chianti Rufina DOCG Riserva Pian dei Sorbi 2015 its value-for-money prize.

The certificates will be presented on Saturday 24 November 2018 at 5.00 p.m. at the Sheraton Rome Hotel and Conference Center, followed by a tasting of the award-winning wines.

You will recognise the Pian dei Sorbi 2015 by its appearance: deep ruby red with slight violet glints; on the nose: great personality, keeping ripe fruit fragrances of raspberry and cassis which then open into a sweet spice of vanilla, cinnamon and clove, and close with nuances recalling leather, tobacco and black pepper; and finally on the palate: the entry is supple and elegant, with well-judged tannin and supporting freshness; the finish stands out for its savouriness, holding a delicious note of red fruit and a clear aromatic echo of sweet blond tobacco.
