Galà dei vini Enolions 2015

On 30 May, at Palazzo Borghese in Florence, the Galà dei vini Enolions 2015 will be held: public tasting from 6 p.m., presentation of diplomas to the producers of the selected wines at 8 p.m., and the Gala from 9 p.m. During the event it will be possible to taste some of the wines produced by Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi.
Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi will take part in the event, presenting for tasting the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Villa Bossi 2010 and the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2008.
Mazzaferrata in particular was the estate's first Super Tuscan, born in the late 1980s, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon; given the strength and structure of the wine, Bernardo Gondi chose a name that would evoke the family's warrior origins.
Appearance: dense, compact ruby red. Nose: ample, with beautiful hints of wild berry preserves, sweet oriental spices, minty balsamic notes and opening nuances of leather, coffee and chocolate. Palate: despite its great power, the tannins are perfectly integrated in a wine that comes across as balanced. This richness reveals itself on the finish with a long aromatic persistence that faithfully echoes the sensations perceived on the nose.
