Food & Wine in Progress and L'Eccellenza Toscana

On 8 and 9 November Florence will host Food & Wine in Progress; the Associazione Italiana Sommelier Toscana is taking part in this event with the 15th edition of L'Eccellenza di Toscana.

The event will be held at the Stazione Leopolda, open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Within the event, visitors will be able to taste the finest wines of the 150 Tuscan estates featured in the Guida Vitae 2016.

Alongside the Vin Santo Chianti Rufina Riserva DOC “Cardinal de Retz 2004”, the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG “Villa Bossi 2010” and the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale IGT “Mazzaferrata 2008”.

It will also be possible to taste the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale IGT “Ser Amerigo 2008”. Blend: 40% Sangiovese, 40% Merlot and 20% Colorino, aged for 2 years in oak casks and barriques. A sensual, rounded wine with intense aromas of red fruit; the finish is long, with balsamic and spicy notes.
