Fattoria di Volmiano, recipes and secrets at the Accademia dei Georgofili

On Tuesday 4 February the President of the “Amici dei Georgofili”, Vittoria Gondi Citernesi, and Professor Zeffiro Ciuffoletti presented to great acclaim, in the beautiful hall of the Accademia dei Georgofili, the book “La Natura in tavola, Fattoria di Volmiano ricette e segreti”. The author of the book is indeed also President of the Academy's affiliated association.

Professor Ciuffoletti teaches the history of the Risorgimento at the University of Florence and is also a well-known journalist specialising in culinary tradition. He is the author of essays on political history, the social history of communication, and the history of agriculture and food. He is a member of the Accademia dei Georgofili and of other scholarly institutions, as well as of journals such as Rivista di storia dell'agricoltura and Nord e Sud. He is Vice-President of the “Società toscana per la storia del Risorgimento”. A columnist for La Nazione, he edits the column “I sapori della storia” for the business daily Italia Oggi.
