FALSTAFF TROPHY 2022 AND MARCHESI GONDI - TENUTA BOSSI

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi wins a further series of special accolades, this time from the Falstaff Trophy 2022.

The Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Villa Bossi 2016 and the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2016 scored 89 and 91/100 respectively.

Mazzaferrata 2016 is an impenetrable ruby red of great visual impact, with almost violet reflections. On the nose it is highly intense and of great complexity, with sensations that open on black fruits such as blueberry juice and plum before unfolding into spicy and toasted notes. The spice is sweet, with hints of cardamom and cumin, closing on nuances of dark chocolate and sweet tobacco.

On the palate it is powerful and rich, with tight, silky tannins. The mouth returns the fruity notes of blueberry along with the toasted and spiced ones. A wine of great personality!
