Decanter Awards 2019

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi wins further accolades. A few days ago, in fact, we received an advance announcement from Decanter.

This year we entered the Decanter World Wine Awards 2019 with the Super Tuscan IGT Mazzaferrata 2013, awarded the silver medal, and the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Villa Bossi 2015, awarded the bronze medal.

Mazzaferrata is an impenetrable ruby red of great visual impact. On the nose it is highly intense and of great complexity, with sensations that open on black fruits such as blueberry and plum before unfolding into spicy and toasted notes. The spice is sweet, with hints of cardamom and cumin, closing on nuances of dark chocolate and sweet tobacco. On the palate it is powerful and rich, with tight, silky tannins. The mouth returns the fruity notes of plum along with the toasted and spiced ones. A wine of great personality.
