Decanter 2017
Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi wins another prestigious accolade. A few days ago, in fact, we received an advance announcement from Decanter.
This year the estate entered the Decanter World Wine Awards 2017 with the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Villa Bossi 2012, awarded the bronze medal with 89 points.
It is a wine that appears in the glass as an intense ruby red, with good depth of colour and light purple reflections. Great impact on the nose, with fruit of cherry and ripe, macerated blackberry, followed by sweet, well-integrated spice of vanilla with balsamic and toasted shadings. The finish brings notes of liquorice and coffee.
On the palate, great structure and character. The fullness of the wine shows in the roundness and personality of the tannins; the finish is long, with fruity and mineral notes, closing on a pleasant note of liquorice and coffee.
