Cookstock

From 8 to 10 September Cookstock returns: this year too, good food meets good wine, with the creativity and flavours of great chefs joining the passion of sommeliers and the taste of street food, all set to excellent music. The event will take place in the main squares of Pontassieve’s historic centre. In Piazza Boetani a wine bar will be set up with the wines of the Consorzio Chianti Rufina.

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi will take part in this splendid event, pouring the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Pian dei Sorbi 2013. You will recognise this wine at once: a full ruby red with light violet reflections. On the nose it shows great personality, holding a fruity register with fragrances of ripe fruit, raspberry and cherry, which then opens into sweet spice of vanilla and cinnamon, closing with nuances recalling leather, sweet blond tobacco and black pepper. It enters the mouth soft and elegant, with just the right tannic grip and a supporting freshness; the finish is savoury, holding a delicious note of red fruit, cherry in particular, and a clear aromatic accord with sweet blond tobacco.
