Concert at Villa Bossi: Quartetto Echos
On Saturday 4 May, Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi hosted the concert of the Quartetto Echos, in collaboration with Dimore del Quartetto and the Associazione Dimore Storiche Toscana.
More than 100 guests gathered in the Villa to hear the Quartetto Echos perform works by Beethoven and Verdi; afterwards they continued with a visit to the monumental cellars and a tasting.
Among the wines poured was the Rosso Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT Ser Amerigo 2010, lively ruby red in colour with purple reflections. The impact on the nose is complex, intense and immediately appealing. Varied notes of small red fruit preserves such as wild strawberry, spicy hints of liquorice and cinnamon, opening in the glass with nuances of leather and sweet tobacco. On the palate it is full, with a refined tannic weave and a lively savouriness, softened by a generous embrace of undergrowth fruit that lends the whole elegance and balance. The finish reveals balsamic and liquorice aromas.
