Chiave di vino 2015

On 3 September at 8.00 pm, within the museum complex of Villa Bardini, from the terrace of the restaurant «La Leggenda dei Frati», the Chiave di Vino Concert will be held: a sensory journey between wine and music.

Guiding you through the listening and tasting will be Federico Maria SARDELLI, musician, and Camilla CARREGA, oenologist. A buffet dinner tasting by Chef Filippo SAPORITO will follow.

This year Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi will take part in this splendid event with the wine Villa Bossi 2010 and the Vin Santo Cardinal de Retz 2004.

In particular, Viva V.E.R.D.I. – Collezione di Arie e Cori for strings will be paired with the Riserva Chianti Rufina, VILLA BOSSI 2010. For the estate this wine has always represented the fullest expression of the territory, that is, the finest selection of the blend that defines it: 80% Sangiovese, 10% Colorino and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. It could be called a Gran Riserva, a Grand Cru, or a wine for contemplation. Always the estate’s flagship, a structured and remarkably long-lived Riserva, it has been produced from these varieties only since 1988.

Colour: intense, dense ruby red, with fine colour density and light garnet reflections. Nose: a striking impact, with fruit notes of cherry and ripe, macerated blackberry, followed by sweet, well-integrated liquorice spice with balsamic and toasted nuances. The finish reveals notes of cocoa and coffee. Palate: great structure and character. The wine’s fullness is shown in the interplay of softness and tannins of real personality; the finish is long, with fruity and mineral notes closing on a pleasing hint of liquorice.
