Borgo di Vino Winter edition 2021 – Marchesi Gondi

The fourth edition of Borgo Di Vino, the wine festival, will be held at Villa Pecori Giraldi in Borgo San Lorenzo (FI) on 30 and 31 October.

Among the estates joining the institutional counter of the Consorzio del Chianti Rufina is Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi. For this splendid occasion we will be pouring the Chianti Rufina DOCG San Giuliano 2019 and the Chianti Rufina Riserva Pian dei Sorbi 2016.

The latter is ruby red with light violet reflections. On the nose it shows great personality, holding a fruity register with fragrances of ripe fruit and cherry, then opening into sweet vanilla spice and closing with nuances recalling leather and sweet blond tobacco. It enters the mouth soft and elegant, with just the right tannic grip and a supporting freshness; the finish is savoury, holding a delicious note of red fruit, cherry in particular, and a clear aromatic accord with sweet blond tobacco.
