BIBENDA 2022 AND MARCHESI GONDI - TENUTA BOSSI

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi has earned a further series of special accolades, announced in the Bibenda 2022 guide.

The Riserva Chianti Rufina DOCG Pian dei Sorbi 2018, the Rossi Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2016 and Ser Amerigo 2016, and the Fiammae 2017 were each awarded 4 grapes, with scores in the region of 90/100.

The taster’s notes for Fiammae 2017: dark, luminous ruby red. It opens with ample fruit and spice perceptions, then dried violets, eucalyptus, toasted hazelnuts, liquorice, pipe tobacco, rhubarb, carob and coffee. Structured on the palate, with soft, cohesive tannins and excellent freshness and savouriness in support. Long mineral and spicy persistence. Vinified and matured for 18 months in barrique, with a year of bottle ageing.
