Bibenda 2018

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi has earned a further series of special accolades, announced in the Bibenda 2018 guide.

The Riserve Chianti Rufina DOCG Pian dei Sorbi 2013 and Villa Bossi 2012, and finally the Rossi Colli Toscana Centrale IGT Mazzaferrata 2011 and Ser Amerigo 2011 were each awarded 4 grapes, with scores in the region of 90/100.

You will recognise Ser Amerigo by its appearance: lively ruby red with purple reflections; on the nose: a complex, intense and immediately appealing impact. Varied notes of small red fruit preserves such as wild strawberry, spicy hints of liquorice and cinnamon, opening in the glass with nuances of leather and sweet tobacco; and finally on the palate: full, with a refined tannic weave and a lively savouriness, softened by a generous embrace of fruit that lends the whole elegance and balance. The finish reveals balsamic and liquorice aromas.
