Autumn in Valdarno and Valdisieve

Valdarno and Valdisieve: two areas of Tuscany shaped by history, two territories that have preserved their natural calling for farming and livestock. Lands loved through the centuries by all who have spent time here.
From 6 to 9 November 2014, the Galleria delle Carrozze of Palazzo Medici Riccardi will host culinary excellence: from Chianti Rufina to Reggello, Pelago and Rignano sull’Arno, and on to the Mugello and San Godenzo. A courageous choice by the organisers, who took note of a season that had compromised many of the area’s typical products. The countryside therefore decided to bring the city four days of tastings and performances featuring produce from Valdarno and Valdisieve.
Marchesi Gondi - Tenuta Bossi will take part in this wonderful event with their wines: in particular you will be able to taste the San Giuliano 2011 and the Pian dei Sorbi 2010.
Pian dei Sorbi 2010, colour: full ruby red with violet reflections. Nose: great personality, in harmony with fruity fragrances of ripe fruit, raspberry and blackcurrant; it then opens into sweet spice of vanilla, cinnamon and clove, closing with nuances recalling leather and tobacco. Palate: soft and elegant, with fine tannins and a supporting freshness; the finish is savoury, holding a delicious note of red fruit and a clear echo of sweet, aromatic blond tobacco.
