The Associazione Tumori Toscana A.T.T. is organising a charity wine auction in partnership with Confesercenti Firenze and FISAR, Florence delegation – the Italian Federation of Sommeliers, Hoteliers and Restaurateurs.

The event will take place on Saturday 16 September 2017 in Florence at the Tepidarium del Roster, an evocative setting within the Giardino dell’Orticoltura.
It will be an occasion devoted to charity and to the finest food and wine, bringing together some of the best-known names in Tuscan winemaking and hospitality. During the evening, unique bottles and lots of fine wines offered by the most celebrated Tuscan wineries will go under the hammer to the highest bidder, while a number of renowned restaurants will invite guests to taste their dishes.

Marchesi Gondi will also take part in this wonderful auction in aid of A.T.T. with the Riserva Chianti Rufina DOCG Villa Bossi 2011, the wine that embodies both the estate and its territory, Chianti Rufina. Villa Bossi is an intense ruby red, with fine colour density and light purple reflections. A striking impact on the nose, with fruit notes of cherry and ripe, macerated blackberry, followed by sweet, well-integrated vanilla spice with balsamic and toasted nuances. The finish reveals notes of liquorice and coffee. On the palate, great structure and character. The wine’s fullness is evident in the roundness and personality of the tannins; the finish is long, with fruity and mineral notes closing on a pleasing hint of liquorice and coffee.
