Any Taste of Tuscany

From 30 October to 1 November Any Taste of Tuscany, Tuscany in Milan, took the stage.

In the splendid setting of the Chiostri dell'Umanitaria, the closing event of the Fuori Expo was held, dedicated to Tuscan excellence: the nineteen most representative Consorzi of the region's food and wine presented the leading DOCG, DOC and IGP appellations with tastings, courses and performances.

For Chianti Rufina in particular, Marchesi Gondi - Tenuta Bossi presented the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Villa Bossi 2010, always the emblem of the selection of the finest blends. It could be described as a Gran Riserva or a Grand Cru, or a wine for contemplation. Always the flagship wine, a structured and very long-lived Riserva, it has been produced from these varieties only since 1988.

You will recognise it by appearance, nose and palate alike, and in particular by its appearance: intense ruby red, with good depth of colour and light purple reflections. On the nose: a striking nose of cassis and ripe, macerated blackberry fruit, followed by sweet, well-integrated liquorice and vanilla spice with balsamic and toasted nuances. The finish shows notes of cocoa. On the palate: great structure and character. The wine's fullness is expressed in the roundness and personality of the tannins; the finish is long, with fruity and mineral notes closing on a pleasant hint of liquorice.
