53rd TOSCANELLO D'ORO IN PONTASSIEVE

In the squares of the historic centre of Pontassieve, from 31 May to 5 June 2022, the 53rd Toscanello d'Oro will take the stage, the celebrated Pontassieve festival. Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and Via Tanzini will be entirely devoted to the 'Cittadella and the Via del Vino', where visitors can taste the wines of the estates of the Chianti Rufina territory.

The Consorzio Chianti Rufina will also play a leading role with a programme of tastings.

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi will take part in this splendid initiative by presenting the Sassobianco 2020 and the Chianti Rufina Riserva Pian dei Sorbi 2018.

You will recognise this wine immediately: it is a deep ruby red with light violet glints. On the nose it shows great personality, keeping a fruity character with fragrances of ripe fruit, strawberry and cherry, which then opens into sweet vanilla spice, closing with nuances recalling leather and sweet light tobacco. The entry on the palate is soft and elegant with well-judged tannins and supporting freshness, while the finish stands out for its savouriness, retaining a delicious red-fruit note, in particular cherry, and a clear aromatic echo of sweet light tobacco.
