46th Toscanello d'Oro

In the historic centre of Pontassieve, from 28 May to 2 June 2015, the 46th Toscanello d'Oro will take place, the celebrated wine festival where visitors can taste the wines of the estates of the Chianti Rufina territory.

Marchesi Gondi – Tenuta Bossi will be there with its own wines; in particular it will be possible to taste the Chianti Rufina San Giuliano 2012 and the Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale Ser Amerigo 2007.

The estate is also taking part in Cantine Aperte during the event, with the following opening times: 28 and 29 May from 2 pm to 6 pm, and 30 May, 1 and 2 June from 10 am to 6 pm.

You will be able to taste in particular the Ser Amerigo, a feminine, seductive, modern wine made from a blend of international and native varieties: 40% Merlot, 40% Sangiovese and 20% Colorino.

Appearance: lively ruby red with garnet reflections. Nose: a complex wine, showing hints of fruit preserve, cinchona and rhubarb, in particular plum and cherry, opening into further notes of undergrowth and tobacco. Palate: great personality, with a refined tannic weave and a vivid savouriness that reveals great balance, softened by a generous fruity embrace; the close is balsamic and spicy.

This wine is therefore made of two SOULS: on the nose it shows the sweet, fruity notes typical of Merlot, while on the palate the persistence and strength of Sangiovese emerge, so characteristic of the Chianti Rufina territory.
