3rd "Cantine Prinz" Tasting

On 19 September, in the splendid setting of the Hotel Westin Excelsior Firenze, the 3rd "Cantine Prinz" tasting will be held, from 2 pm to 11 pm.

Marchesi Gondi - Tenuta Bossi will take part by presenting its wines, among them the Chianti Rufina DOCG Riserva "Pian dei Sorbi 2012", a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Colorino. It is aged for 2 years in 25 hl oak casks.

You will recognise it by its appearance: deep ruby red with light violet glints; on the nose: a nose of great personality, keeping a fruity character with fragrances of ripe fruit, raspberry and cassis, which then opens into sweet spice of vanilla, cinnamon and cloves, closing with nuances recalling leather, tobacco and black pepper; and finally on the palate: the entry is soft and elegant with well-judged tannins and supporting freshness, while the finish stands out for its savouriness, retaining a delicious red-fruit note and a clear aromatic echo of sweet light tobacco.
