27 September BACCO ARTIGIANO 2020

On Sunday 27 September two tastings were held, and both went extremely well despite the times: 35 guests attended each tasting for Bacco Artigiano 2020.

This year too the heart of the event was wine, and above all the wines of the Chianti Rufina territory. The Consorzio Chianti Rufina and the Municipality of Rufina set out tables in the hall of Villa Poggio Reale to host as many as 35 guests (in full compliance with all COVID regulations) for the two professional tastings held inside the villa.

Marchesi Gondi took part in this splendid initiative by presenting the Chianti Rufina Riserva Villa Bossi 2013: an intense ruby red with good depth of colour and light purple reflections. A striking nose of ripe, macerated cherry and blueberry fruit, followed by sweet, well-integrated vanilla spice with balsamic and toasted nuances. The finish reveals notes of chocolate and coffee. On the palate, great structure and character. The wine's fullness is expressed in the roundness and personality of the tannins; the finish is long, with fruity and mineral notes closing on a pleasant hint of coffee.
